Just noticed on bbc, after the frame there was a small clip with Ronnie, where he was deff holding another cue then his own.
I noticed it was a 3/4 cue too.
On another note, why on Earth can’t the ref just pause play between shots and get the divide up?
and if you were the player on a break or walking up to the table to start your turn and the ref said "wait one while we..."; I doubt you would like that
The audience can see the monitors around the arena so they probably have a closer view anyway - or so I found when I was at the Welsh
Waiting for the natural gap of setting up the table between frames is perfect timing for players to both adjust, etc.

I dunno. Player finishes his visit and the ref just has a quick word with his opponent before he gets to the table.
You may have a point, though.
