Terrific performance from Mark, so important he won that last frame or it could of started to get twitchy but he showed his mettle under pressure to close it out. Agree with Starsky, he is the comeback king, just kept finding another level and keeping his foot on the gas! Well done to him! Ding will be gutted but there are a lot of positives for him and he didn't do much wrong. 👏👏

He’s probably right saying that ,this Triple crown ,majors thing that the BBC started a few years is total bollox ,Hazel Irvine can’t stop going on about it .Masters is a tournament for the top 16 ,the Uk championship is a big event ,but that’s it .Just because Golf and tennis have majors the BBC are just trying to hype up a couple of events because they cover them .Tennis and Golf don’t have a world championship that is bigger than any of their majors and in snooker the Worlds is the one to win .Going back to the 80’s and early 90’s they didn’t call it tripple crowns and majors ,it’s cringe worthy .In fact when the BBC covered the British open they called it the big four ,when they lost coverage of that tournament it’s the triple crown .ridiculous.

I agree any invitation event can't be considered a major trophy. I don't mind the seeds missing a round or two but you wouldn't have the FA cup with only the top sixteen teams in the EPL allowed to play in it.
