      • ***Sigh*** I don't think I can be arsed to watch the final now but I think I'd prefer Woollaston to win the title than Higgins tbh. Good luck.

Why?? Young player who's had a fantastic run to his first ranking final, vs the old master fighting to stay relevant as the years catch him up. I was less interested in a Williams-Higgins final!

          • Woollaston has no chance tomorrow. Simply doesn't have the bottle. Even in this match against a subpar Williams he was choking badly.

            • Well done Ben.

Looking forward to the final tomorrow. I hope Higgins plays well and makes a match of it. It could be a really close one.

Heh, John is ancient compared to most players, but Woollaston will be 28 in three months, calling him a "young player" is a bit of a stretch

Higgins have never been my favourite to watch tbh and Woollaston isn't as young as he looks so he's a bit of a journeyman in my eyes.

I may tune in after I get over it.

                  • Higgins could play his C game and still win tomorrow. He's still a class above Ben and more importantly much stronger mentally.

                    • That little revelation in the studio of Ben idolizing Higgins as a lad i think will play a major role in things tomorrow. How many times to you hear about players getting to play their idols for them to be like a rabbit caught in the headlights especially in a final. They have only met one time before hmm interesting. I hope i'm wrong as it would be nice to see Ben having a real go at his first final after all the hard work he has put in to get there. Higgins will be favorite of course but anything can happen. Is the final the first to 9 frames?

                      • A decent night of snooker, but I expected more from Williams. Unfortunately he played a bad match at the wrong time, disappointing, but not a major surprise...

Woollaston survives until the final day then, well done to him. He made a nice break in the decider, and he was potting some good balls throughout the match. He should have won it in the penultimate frame though, it's hard to win ranking titles if you don't take chances like that.

                        • Good job Woollaston couldn't hear Griffiths and Morgan, they were like the Welsh Rugby choir putting the nerves and mockers on the Englander !!

                          • This tournament has been a major disappointment for me
as far too many players played so poorly. There were a
few bright spots but far too few.
Hopefully Higgins will win this quickly and we can move
                            on to the next tournament.

                            • I agree it has been a weirdly bad tournament, even Higgins has been genuinely shocked at how average he has played and winning.
I think Higgins experience will be to much tomorrow but it would imo be good for the game if Ben can win as there's way to much obsession with the top players these days
It's hard to pot balls with a Chimpanzee tea party going on in your head

                              • Higgins is clearly the favorite, but this tournament has been so all over the place, it's far from a lock. Who knows, maybe they will overheat the table by 10°C again and the balls will be kicking all over the place. At that point, it's a crapshoot.
