Nice frame, but Higgins really should have gotten it.
So, after the midsession, come on John!
John has been a tad unlucky. But also he has been a tad impatient. Playing very attacking while obviously he wasn't at his best. Hope tea operates its magic though.
It'll be interesting how John plays after that match - also with Marco, whether he can take advantage of it. He's clearly winning in the psychological battle but Higgins is well capable of coming back. I remember how Higgins responded after Ding's 147.
To be honest, I think Higgins was a bit impatient with his doubles into the end corners on the respotted black.
That was indeed an incredible frame. How did he lose that? It has to be up there with the 2nd frame of Williams-Selby in the UK, or Harold's loss after that great clearance in the NIT.
BBC 2 just ended transmission when the score was 4-4 and John was scoring in the 9 th frame
"There has only ever been Alex Higgins, myself and now Ronnie O'sullivan who play the game the way it should be played with such excitement - I know the fans love it this way" - Jimmy White
